Parents’ most common questions
Will my child just copy the answers?
MathGPT is designed to show the thinking, not just a final number. Each solution includes clear steps so you can ask your child to explain the reasoning back to you, or redo a similar question on their own.
What grades is MathGPT for?
Students from about Grade 2 up to university can use MathGPT for arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and more.
Can my child use it during homework?
Yes – that’s where it works best. They can ask for help on one step, check if a solution is correct, or get a different explanation if the textbook is confusing.
Is this a replacement for a real tutor?
For many students, MathGPT is enough on its own. For others, it works as a support between tutoring sessions or when live help isn’t available.
Is my child’s data safe?
Yes — we only store email addresses. All other data is purely math-related and not traceable to users. We may send promotional emails, but we do not share any data with third parties.
Can I cancel easily?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time in a few clicks. After cancellation, your child can keep using the free plan.
From struggling to get real math help as a CS student to building an AI math partner that actually explains things.
Hi, I’m Umeed, a programmer and computer science student. I wasn’t a math tutor – I was the student in the back of the class thinking, “I still don’t really get this, but the lesson is already over.”
In many of my math courses, the pattern was always the same: a big lecture hall with 300+ students, the professor rushing through a simple example on the board, and then 5 minutes at the end for questions. By the time you’ve even formed your question, class is over. The assignments and exams, meanwhile, are much harder and very different from what was shown in class. When I asked for help, the answers were often vague, rushed, or dodged completely. Classmates were busy, competitive, or just not interested in helping. It was easy to feel dumb, even when I was working hard.
What I really needed was something that would slow down, show every step, and let me ask “why?” without feeling judged or like I was wasting someone’s time. That experience is what led me to build MathGPT – an AI math helper that explains problems the way I wish things had been explained to me.
Traditional tutoring can be expensive, hard to schedule, and not always available when a student is actually stuck — like late at night before a quiz or during a tough homework set. I wanted a tool that could “sit next to” a student anytime, break problems into clear steps, and stay patient no matter how many questions they ask.
MathGPT is my attempt to turn those real frustrations into something useful for other students and families. Every feature is designed with one goal: help students truly understand the math in front of them, build confidence, and feel proud of what they can do — even if the class, the prof, or the system didn’t make it easy.
