1. **Qur’an Evidence**
**Qur’an Source:**
Surah Yā-Sīn, Surah 36, Ayah 38
**Translation:**
And the sun runs on its fixed course for a determined term. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
**Simple Meaning:** The Qur’an tells us that the sun is not random. It moves by Allah’s command on a set course until the time He has decided. This is a sign of Allah’s power and perfect knowledge.
**Qur’an Source:**
Surah Yā-Sīn, Surah 36, Ayah 40
**Translation:**
It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night overtake the day. Each is swimming in an orbit.
**Simple Meaning:** The sun, moon, and other celestial bodies move in their own paths. They do not crash into each other because Allah keeps everything in perfect order.
2. **Hadith Evidence**
**Hadith Source:**
Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3199, Sahih
**Hadith Meaning:**
The Prophet ﷺ explained that the sun goes in a way known to Allah, and it submits to Allah’s command. This is part of the unseen matters we accept with faith.
**Simple Explanation:** This hadith teaches us that the sun is under Allah’s control. Its journey is not by itself, but by Allah’s order. We believe in it as the Prophet ﷺ told us, and Allah knows the full reality of how it happens.
3. **Scholars’ Explanation**
- **Imam Ibn Kathir** said in his tafsir of Surah Yā-Sīn that the sun moves according to a fixed measure and a known end that Allah has set.
- **Imam al-Tabari** explained that "mustaqarr" means a fixed place, fixed time, or fixed course that Allah has determined.
- **Imam al-Qurtubi** mentioned that the verse shows the perfect order of the universe and Allah’s power over all creation.
4. **Easy Answer to Your Question**
The Qur’an describes the universe as created with order, balance, and purpose.
The sun goes toward a **destination** called **مُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا** (*mustaqarrin lahā*), which means a **fixed place, fixed course, or appointed end** that Allah has set for it.
So the main idea is:
1. The sun is moving by Allah’s command.
2. It has a set path and a set end.
3. The exact reality of that destination is known fully to Allah.
5. **Practical Lesson**
The sky teaches us that Allah controls everything perfectly. If Allah can manage the sun, moon, and stars, then He can surely manage our lives too.
**Takeaway:**
Trust Allah’s perfect planning, because nothing in the universe is random.
Allah knows best.
